The following guide was created to hopefully reduce confusion around how Book Taco currently works with Clever pre-district level integration.
Go to https://www.clever.com/ and login by clicking the “Teacher or Staff” option when you hover over the student sign in button.
Click on “Pages” and then “My Teacher Pages”
Click on your account’s teacher page. It should look similar to mine. Make sure it says “All students”
On your teacher page, click on “Add” and then a dropdown menu should appear. In this menu click on “App”
In the search field that appears, type “Book Taco” and click on it.
Click on “Install Book Taco” and a new browser tab may open asking for you to allow permissions for Book Taco. Allow them, and close the tab.
Back on your page, click on the 3 dots in Book Taco’s panel to open the context menu.
In the context menu click “Open for Students” a page should open up asking you to “Choose class(es)” or “Choose students.” Select “Choose Class(es)” and in the dropdown select which classes you would like to add.
After you have selected the classes you would like to add, click on “Open” and a box should appear letting you know that you have successfully opened Book Taco up to the class.
Students should now have access to Book Taco via Clever. They will have to navigate to your Clever Classroom Page and click on Book Taco from there. Book Taco should sign in automatically.
