After student logs onto his chromebook, click icons at bottom right and go up to settings.  Under Appearance click on set wallpaper.  Right click (Alt Click) on the Wallpaper thumbnail you want to delete and click "delete" This only works on custom wallpapers, the default ones can't be removed.
